Taxi
Depending on what size and type of taxi you take, the fee per kilometre will be at least RMB 2.0. The starting and minimum fee is RMB 10, which is equivalent to around 3 kilometres. From Beijing International Airport to downtown of Beijing it will cost you RMB 90–135 RMB (After 16th km the price is 50% higher, road toll is RMB 15). Night tariff is 20% higher.
When you enter a taxi and start your trip, check if the driver switches the meter on. After you have arrived to your destination, ask for a receipt. Tips is not expected. At the front of the passenger seat there is a registration number that you can write down, if you have any complaints. The phone number to the taxi supervision office is 68351150.
