Evening & Night

First of all, the Beijing´s night life today is very different from that only five years ago; one reason is that the Beijingers have got a higher income and like to spend their money. The city is more and more, almost around the clock, a swinging city. You can start your evening at an early show, afterwards go to a bar or restaurant and end your evening in a night club. Whether you like genuine, sophisticated live music, trendy or cosy places, Beijing always has something to offer. If you go to a fancy night club or some top restaurant, the dress code is international and if you feel to have your tuxedo, that's OK too.

Shows and performance
The choice is more or less unlimited; Peking (or Beijing) Opera with the best performers in China, Kung Fu Shows, Chinese Acrobatic Shows, Folklore shows from different parts of China, and much more, are a guarantee that you will always find something that fits you.

Sanlitun Area
In the north east of the city centre you find the Sanlitun area, named after the main street, which is the most popular bar area, where you also find a lot of westerners. This is a mix of music bars and pubs, quite noisy, certainly not the right place if you just will sit down and look in the eyes of your partner. The price for a beer is like back home! There is a small street between Sanlitun Lu and Xindong Jie, where you find an Irish Pub with live bands, you can also try a Belgian pub there.

Bars and discos
All the four and five stars hotels have sophisticated bars with a relaxing atmosphere and smooth live music. Some of them have also discotheques.
